How to update your phone settings - business hours and ivr
This feature can be used by any business that uses Bling as their phone system. Updating business hours and IVR settings can help businesses provide better customer service by ensuring that customers can reach them during their operating hours and easily navigate through the IVR menu to get the information they need. It can also help businesses increase efficiency by automating certain tasks and reducing the workload on their customer service team.
To change business hours:
- Log in to your Bling account.
- Click on "Phone.
- Go to "Call Settings.
- Locate the "Business Hours" section.
- Click on "Edit" to modify your business hours.
- Adjust the start and end times, as well as the days of the week
- Save your changes.
To change IVR settings:
- In the "Call Settings" section, locate the "IVR" options.
- Click on "Edit" to modify your IVR settings.
- Add, edit, or remove menu options as needed.
- Assign specific phone numbers or extensions to each option.
- Save your changes.
To manage and access the added business profiles, follow these steps:
For example, if you want to add a new option for boarding, you can enter the phone number (e.g., 415-738-2052) and assign it to the corresponding option. You can also edit existing options by following the same steps. Remember that the default option stays the same as 0 for repeating the options, and 9 for sending the voicemail.
